The boys have been busy this September learning the plus and equals sign and revising their letters ! ➕🔠
The boys engaged in loads of different Math's activities during Math's week such as creating shape monsters, going on a math's trail and playing math's board games with sixth class that they made for Senior infants !
The boys have been looking for signs of Autumn on their Autumn trail ,practicing their writing and even buddy reading, take a look !🍂
The boys dressed up for Halloween and their costumes were all very impressive, they had great fun doing a Halloween experiment too
The boys have been learning all about 2D/3D shapes, number partitioning and even some new sounds ! Take a look at the boys going on their shape hunt, practicing their sounds and partitioning numbers 👏🏼
The boys have been learning all about Scotland , they even got to try some Irn Bru and Shortbread ! ☺️🏴
We have been engaging in lots of Christmas activities and getting ready for our Christmas show here in Senior Infants, have a look !
The boys have been exploring positional language in Maths and taking part in exciting STEM activities, including designing their dream bedroom using playdough. They’ve also been strengthening their fine motor skills through creative play with snow putty and visiting our very own pictiúrlann where they had to present their ticéad to get into the scannán Kung Fu Panda as Gaeilge ❄️☃️🍿🎬
The boys were absolutely delighted to welcome their grandparents into school for Grandparents’ Day. They were so proud to show them some of their wonderful work and colourful artwork, sharing all the effort they have been putting into their learning. It was a joy to see them engaging in a fun activity together. The boys also sang the songs they have been practicing. They were so excited to have their grandparents there, and we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to make the day so special.
Throughout Multicultural Week, the boys enjoyed a wide range of engaging activities that celebrated cultures from around the world. A fun multicultural quiz was set up, where the boys learned some new interesting facts. The boys from Mr Walsh’s class gave a wonderful presentation on India to the Senior Infant boys, sharing information about the country’s traditions and culture. French Day was another highlight, where the boys tasted delicious French food and created fantastic drawings of the Eiffel Tower. They also spent time learning about Moldova, discovering its culture and traditions and some of the boys in the class brought in food from their culture for us to try. It was a great week that broadened the boys’ understanding of the world around them !
