Keeping You Up-to-Date!
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we are all aware the Covid-19 numbers are very high at the moment. In order to help keep your family and the wider community safe, please do not send your son to school if he displays any symptoms which are associated with Covid-19.
The following was taken from the HSE website:
Important!
If your child has any symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus), keep them at home and get a COVID-19 PCR test.
You may need to isolate them from other people. It will depend on their symptoms.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are:
· dry cough
· fatigue (tiredness)
Less common symptoms include:
· blocked nose
· headache
· muscle or joint pain (aches and pains)
· skin rash
· nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
· chills or dizziness
Your child may not have all of these symptoms. Symptoms may vary for different age groups or variants of the virus. It can take up to 14 days for symptoms to show.
Even if your child's symptoms are very mild, keep them at home for 48 hours and phone your GP for advice.
Symptoms of COVID-19 can be similar to symptoms of cold, flu or hay fever. If you are in doubt about any symptoms your child has, phone your GP.
Parent-Teacher Meetings:
Parent-Teacher Meetings are taking place this week and next. Following Department of Education guidelines, these meetings are being held via telephone. Your son’s teacher has sent home a day and time for the meeting. If this day/time is not suitable, contact the school office and an alternative arrangement will be made.
