You are very welcome to our school website. I hope you will find this website useful and that it will enhance your knowledge of our wonderful school.

St. Lorcan’s Boys' N.S, is a boys’ vertical school (Junior Infants to 6th Class), situated off the N4 in Palmerstown, Dublin 20. Although our school follows a Catholic Ethos, we welcome children of all faiths and none. We promote a caring and nurturing environment for all our pupils and we continually strive to help each child in our school to be the best that they can be.

Our new Autism Class is almost complete. We are currently resourcing the room and getting it ready for it's official opening in September. We hope to finally turn the sod on our long awaited sensory garden once the ground dries up. It has been a very wet year. This will be another wonderful addition to St. Lorcan's for all our staff and pupils.

We are very lucky to have a supportive and active Parents' Association here in St. Lorcan's.The Parents' Association have organised a fantastic fundraiser for us all to look forward to this June - The Hell & Back Challenge! It is not for the faint-hearted! We look forward to a wonderful day together as we support our St. Lorcan's BNS community. Please take a look at our dedicated PA page on this website for further information and news.

To support our evergrowing committment to a greener environment, we installed 26 solar panels and an EV charger last year. St. Lorcan's has always been passionate about our environment and we are dedicated to maintaining our proud reputation as an All-Ireland winning Green School.

St. Lorcan's BNS offers lots of extra-curricular activities, which include a homework club, Lego club, sports clubs, athletics, chess, guitar lessons and more. We look forward to starting back at our Gardening Club when the weather improves. The Sixth Class boys enjoy rowing on the River Liffey every Friday morning. Our school teams take-part in Cumann na mBunscol, football leagues, chess tournaments and more. Our annual Mad Hatters Walk takes place just before we break for our Easter holidays each year. The Sacrament of Confirmation and Communion will take place in May. Our teachers are busy planning Wellbeing Week, Active Week and school tours, as well as lots of other exciting activities for our puils. We have so much to look forward to.

I would like to thank our Board of Management, staff, pupils and parents for their continued commitment and support to St. Lorcan's.
