Hurling training usually takes place during May/June. Last year a hurling league was held by Mr. Graydon.

The inaugural St. Lorcan's BNS yard league hurling final was contested by Team 1 better know as 'The Bois' and Team 4 known as 'The Fourth Classers'. The game got off to a rip roaring start with neither team prepared to give an inch to their opponents. The Fourth Classers led at half time, three  goals to no score. They added to this by scoring the only goal in the second half, which in turn brought them 4 goals clear of their opponents, with very little time left on the clock. The final whistle blew shortly after, much to the delight of The Fourth Classers. Throughout the final The Bois gave a great account of themselves and during the  preliminary stages of the league.

The League was played over the course of five weeks with twenty eight participants split into four teams. The two teams that had accumulated the most amount of points contested the final. A big well done to all involved and we look forward to next year's league.

Thank you,

Mr. Graydon
