Our Confirmation was held on March 12th in St. Philomena’s Church with Canon Tony and Monsignor Paul Callan.  We had a fantastic day. Thank you Canon Tony and Monsignor Paul Callan for everything. We would also like to thank Mr. Daly, the musicians (Mr. Moore, Mr. Fortune and Ms. McGeever) and the choir for their lovely music on the day. This was Mr. Daly’s last performance with the choir. He has done such a terrific job over the years! Thanks to Ms. Cummins and Ms. Fogarty, who helped assist both with singing and printing of leaflets. Special thanks to Dean Norton and Matthew Grohann who sang the song ‘Gifts of Bread and Wine’ with Mr. Daly. Thanks to every boy who either read readings/symbols introductions/reflections, brought up symbols, lit candles, brought up bread & wine, sang the psalm or said prayers of the faithful. Thanks to the parish secretaries for helping us with the confirmation cards and the booklets for the day & the Ceremony of Light. Thanks to the extra priests who heard confessions during the Ceremony of Light. Thanks to the parents who helped out during the Ceremony of Light (Ms. O'Byrne) and during the Confirmation (Ms. Reilly). Thanks to the children and parents who presented all teaching staff and SNA’s with flowers. They were very much appreciated. Thanks for the sacristans and the parish committee who helped in many ways including preparing the symbols and the flowers. Thanks to the altar servers too. Thanks also to Ms. Brack, Ms. Jenner and Ms. McSorley who helped with the practises and the preparation of artwork. Most of all, a big thank you goes to the boys of 6th Class, their parents, families and sponsor’s. You did yourself proud and we hope you had the most wonderful day!

Best Wishes,

Ms. Sloyan and Ms. Gorham.

Rowing

Every Friday, twelve boys in Sixth Class go rowing in Chapelizod. We put on our life jackets. Four children go in each boat, plus one instructor, If the water is too high, we use the indoor rowing machines. Our session lasts one hour.
